“Sweat Performance has been a huge difference-maker for the McDonogh Boys Lacrosse Team. Their team training offered both at Sweat and on our campus has impacted our guys individually with a major increase in overall athleticism, strength, and speed. The foundation of our team chemistry, competitiveness, and perseverance over the past eight years was built through our Sweat Workouts. I have great appreciation for every coach at Sweat and their commitment to challenging, motivating, and supporting our lacrosse players.”

For decades, Maryland has been widely regarded as the hotbed for US lacrosse. Year after year, college coaches comb through Baltimore searching for our next wave of talent. However, as the sport has spread nationwide, so have the opportunities. Maryland is not just competing with the northeast anymore. The mid-west and the west coast are now making a strong push backed by an influx of promising young talent and seasoned coaches. Competition in the lacrosse world is at an all-time high.
BOYS LACROSSE PROGRAM
The times of skilled, but slow lacrosse players are long over. Now, you have to be the complete package. And if you aren’t, that’s fine…..you just won’t be able to play in college. Hell, if you’re competing in the MIAA A Conference, you might not even be able to play at your high school! There is a new breed now.. That breed is strong, fast and skilled. If you want to survive and excel, you need to be all three, too.
“The team from Sweat Performance has played a huge part in changing the culture of our program – increasing our work ethic, pushing our kids and growing their confidence. The high intensity workouts have improved strength, conditioning, flexibility, speed and injury prevention. It’s been amazing to see the transformation in our kids. There is no one better in the business than Sweat Performance!”
-Trey Whitty, Head Coach, St. Pauls Boys Varsity Lacrosse
Sweat’s lacrosse program has advanced hundreds of high school athletes to Division-1 opportunities. Every year, we send our high school seniors–boys and girls–off to the top collegiate programs in the country. Since 2009, we have earned our place as Baltimore’s best gym when it comes to teaching and polishing elite movement patterns with athletes. We have produced professional athletes in football, basketball, lacrosse and baseball. Our in-house approach of coaching speed development, agility training and situational footwork have provided our athletes with a competitive advantage for damn near a decade!
Games and matchups will never be won based on who can bench press or squat the most weight. Those are exercises to get you stronger. Strength is a tool. Games and matchups will be won based on who can better leverage their tools during sport specific movement patterns. We give you superior tools. And we show you exactly how to leverage them.
Come experience why All-Americans, National Champions and the National Coach of the Year trust Sweat as the ultimate training grounds for lacrosse.
Girls Lacrosse Program
High School girls lacrosse has been plagued with ACL tears. As the sport has grown, so has the volume of devastating injuries. It is heartbreaking to see: An athlete ending a season or cutting a career short due injury. While some situations are unavoidable, there are many injuries that are the direct result of poor injury prevention procedures. In our girls program, we filter each athlete through a variety of tests and exercises that will help us to gauge and monitor their overall durability. Injury prevention, well planned out strength progressions and the coaching of proper movement patterns are all components that we focus on within our program. Our primary focus will always be to protect our athletes. Our secondary focus is to fuel their performance.
Our Girls lacrosse program has produced:
We have produced All-County, All-State and All-American recipients at the high school level. We have produced All-Conference and All-American recipients at the college level. Several of our girls have competed professionally (WPLL) and internationally as they have represented our country on the US National Team.
This is who we are. This is what we do. And this is the level we do it at.
