I walked into sweat performance with one goal-lose the 30 pounds of baby weight I put on while pregnant with my daughter. I was already a member of a big box gym and going regularly, but I was looking for something that would really push me and help me get real results.
I started training with Holly once a week. She pushed me to the limit and I left each workout feeling like I was closer to accomplishing my goal. Once a week quickly turned into 2, and then 3. I was seeing such great results training with Holly, that I decided to try sweat performances signature boot camp class. After just one, I was hooked. The fast paced, heart pumping class was the perfect addition to my routine. Each class is different, the trainers are super enthusiastic and the other people taking the class are there to work as hard as you are. The sweat performance environment is designed to meet you at your level and then push you further. I’m so grateful to have Holly and the rest of the team at sweat performance to push me to be as strong and healthy as I can be!
A little over two years ago, I really started feeling the weight, both physically and emotionally of have two babies in two years and hitting my mid 30’s. Although I was never in the “overweight” category, I was at my heaviest, I had lost all core strength and had that overall “blaaaaaaah” feeling. Between a full time job and taking care of 2 toddlers, I felt like I had completely lost myself.
I knew I needed a change, I just wasn’t sure how to go about it! Over the years I had joined every big gym in the area and tried several personal trainers, but never lasted more then 6 weeks. I dreaded the unflattering gigantic mirrors, the crowds, and waiting for machines.
A friend told me about Sweat Performance and I was definitely intrigued! It took me a few months to get the nerve to finally try, and I am so happy I did!
In February 2015, I attended my first 5:30pm bootcamp and was instantly hooked! I was back at 7am the very next morning and have been attending BootCamp at least 3-4 times a week ever since! The trainers are encouraging, knowledgeable and have pushed me way beyond what I ever thought I could achieve! Each BootCamp is different and I never get bored. The members have become friends and we encourage each other throughout the entire class! At 37, I am in the best shape of my life and my energy level is higher then when I was in my 20’s. I am more confident than I have ever been!
Sweat Performance is truly the best thing that I have ever done for myself!
Every time I walk into Sweat I feel the rush of a challenge and camaraderie from everyone there. Sweat Performance is much more than a training facility, it’s a tight-knit group of talented professionals and committed members I’m proud to be a part of. We are pushed beyond our boundaries and given the ability to progress from that experience together. The amount of expertise and dedication shown by SP trainers sets them apart from large gym chains. They offer a wide range of skills, allowing me to receive individual direction on what I need to improve, while practicing correct techniques. During my time at Sweat, I’ve advanced in strength, endurance, and overall knowledge about fitness. I’ve learned to perfect my form and found new ways to increase my athleticism. The workouts are, without a doubt, intense. The challenge demands you to find out how much further you can go, how much you’re willing to work in order to improve. It also bonds you with the other members; everyone who belongs at Sweat is there to work hard and offer encouragement. It’s this sense of community and intensity I cannot find anywhere else. Painted on the wall of SP is a quote by Muhammad Ali, “I hated every minute of training, but I said, ‘Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.'” Whether you’re a professional athlete or just starting out, you can connect with those words. That strong feeling binds us together, and fuels us to go beyond what we know to achieve our goals.

Emily and I started working out at Sweat Performance in 2013. For the past two years, we have gone regularly to the Saturday morning boot camp. We can’t go as often as we would like, but the exercises and techniques we have learned, along with the encouragement from Sweat’s incredible trainers, stay with us even when we’re not there. We never really considered ourselves “out of shape” until we realized what being in shape truly feels like since attending Sweat. We are now more thoughtful about our diets, we prioritize exercising when we can’t make it to boot camp, hold one another accountable, and have a dynamic strength as if we were back in our prime athletic days. We each have lost significant weight and inches in our waistline since attending Sweat and are pushed to train harder than we did before! Courtney, Brendan, and Nick are world class trainers and people! They, and our bootcamp family, are beyond worth waking up early on a Saturday morning for!
My hobby is cycling. I joined Sweat with the goal of becoming physically stronger and leaner to enhance my cycling performance. Over the past 5 years, I have lost 15 lbs (along with an improved diet) and gained total body strength. In addition to the above, I received an unexpected benefit that has had the most impact not only with cycling but in other aspects of my life – mental strength! Sweat Performance has taught me how to push myself past my comfort levels or self -imposed limits to reach new levels of performance. Now I ride with more confidence and welcome new opportunities/challenges to test myself. A big thank you to all the trainers I have the pleasure to work with!
I have always been an active person who works out regularly to stay in shape in order to compensate for my poor eating habits. I never enjoyed working out, though; it was just something I knew I needed to do to stay healthy. I would wake up and drag myself to the “big box” gym, pound away on the Dreadmill for 30 minutes, then lift a few weights and go home. It was boring, monotonous, and ineffective. A friend of mine had joined Sweat Performance and suggested I give it a try. I walked into Sweat in September of 2014. I had no clue what I was in for, but I was immediately greeted by a group of energetic trainers who seemed genuinely happy that I was there. After one boot camp, I was hooked. The positive energy and enthusiasm from the group was awe inspiring. The diversity of the workouts and the motivation from the trainers is what has kept me coming back. Not only do the trainers care about each individual member’s goals, but they will take the time to help you achieve them- from clean eating, to endurance, speed and strength goals. The change I’ve seen in my body is amazing. I am stronger, faster, and healthier than I have ever been. I am definitely a Sweat Performance success story!

My husband and I came to Sweat Performance a year and half ago from another gym and, me, off of injury. Brendan immediately challenged us to work our hardest while at the same time understanding what was needed to assist in rehabbing my shoulder. We often joke that it is the hardest non-romantic “date night” there is, but we love it and keep coming back. At Sweat Performance you will be pushed to your limit in an upbeat environment that is committed to helping you achieve your athletic goals. We have recommended Sweat Performance and Brendan to our friends and now they are addicted too!

“My journey to a healthier life began in Jan 2010. I had just lost my best friend to pancreatic cancer followed 3 months later by losing my mother to lung cancer. I was at my highest weight of my life 243 lbs and size 22 and each day I wondered if it was my last. I went to bed every night with chest pain and a feeling of doom. WOW was I a mess. Fat Female Forty something and a walking advertisement for cardiac disease. I had to change. I started by cutting down my calories and moving more, first walking, then jogging. I got a personal trainer for awhile, but all of that was very much because I knew that if I didn’t move I would gain weight. I hated to workout and I hated the big gym’s with their wall to wall mirrors and unfriendly staff. They were not for me…But with all of this it was still very difficult to stay motivated and on track. I hated to workout. Enter Sweat Performance and the final key to finding the joy in working out, losing the rest of my weight and maintaining that weight loss. Sweat has changed my whole attitude towards exercise. I now look forward to working out with a group of fantastic people. No two classes are ever the same and I always get a great workout. The crush weights class helped me drop another two dress sizes so I am now in single digits and I can lift weights. I see muscle definition. I look forward to my workouts and I am sure people even get tired of hearing me talk about how much SP has changed my perspective on working out. But that is not the end of the story, I have been happily married for 23 years and have a wonderful husband who has always been involved in soccer but never group exercise. He had gained weight over the years and could benefit from some weight loss. SP to the rescue again with their ‘new you new two’ I asked my husband to be my partner and the rest as they say is history. What a success story, he is down 47 lbs and running like a teenager. He never misses a class and the best part is working out together is amazing. We love it. So much that we now take personal training once a week. Some couples take dancing or cooking classes but we workout. Thank you sweat for changing our health and lifestyle for the better.”
